Dear Families,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new Dean of Students of Long Hill Township. I am very excited to begin this new position and look forward to meeting and getting to know the Long Hill school community.

Prior to joining the Long Hill administrative team, I worked for eight years as a school counselor in Dunellen, NJ.  The experiences from my time there, working in various capacities throughout the school, helped shape me into the well rounded student advocate I have always strived to become.

My role as Dean of Students will be to work with students as well as with teachers and principals in the district to help students grow academically, socially and emotionally.  As a new member of the Long Hill community, I am thrilled to be part of a team of individuals who strive to promote excellence for each and every student, helping them to become their very best.

I will be working on committees, programs and initiatives that directly correlate to the overall success of our students. Such areas include; Intervention and Referral Services, Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying, State Testing, Student Discipline, and Character Education. 

Character Education is an imperative component of our student’s comprehensive education. I am excited to enhance the character education initiatives currently in place and allow our students, through activities that are both educational and fun in nature, to really gain an understanding of the importance of achieving the skills necessary to have good character. They will spend time focusing on each pillar of character education including, Respect, Responsibility, Trustworthiness, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship.
