    • Take advantage of reviews and extra-help

    Bring To Class:

    • Notebook-three ring binder (with paper) for handouts and notes
    • Two Pencils and Pens
    • Highlighter
    • Colored pencils- these will be needed for map activites throughout the year!

    Grades:

50% of grade = tests and projects

              25% of grade = quizzes

              25% of grade = homework

Homework is to be done on time. If homework is late it will not be accepted and marked as a zero. Partial credit will be accepted for not following directions, not paraphrasing, or not understanding certain parts of the homework. If you do not understand an assignment, call a classmate. If you still do not understand an assignment, please do not leave anything blank, instead, write a few sentences about the topic in the question.

    Absences:

Following an illness, students are responsible for obtaining and completing all class work and assignments. Extra time for Tests, Quizzes, or homework will be allotted by the teacher.

Absences for any other reason: student should obtain work prior to absence; work is due upon return to class.

    Class Expectations:

    • Respect for others. Listen to speaker; raise hand to be recognized to speak. No laughing or teasing towards others will be tolerated.
    • Timeliness in class. Students are expected to be on time for class. Students are also expected to have all assignments due on time.

    Books:

Books will be sent home with each student. This home-copy should be used for homework and review for tests and quizzes.
