    TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION

     
    The Long Hill Township Board of Education provides free transportation to elementary students domiciled 2.0 miles or more from the school they attend. 
     
    A student domiciled less than 2.0 miles from the school he or she attends is considered a courtesy bus rider and is not entitled to transportation. However, the Long Hill Township Board of Education offers a subscription bus program to courtesy riders who wish to pay for busing to and from school.  Please note that subscription busing is not available in all areas. Please note: Subscription busing is not provided in those neighborhoods that are in close proximity to the schools.  
     
    The Board has set the rate for 2017-18 at $450 per child, with a family maximum of $925 per year.  If your home is LESS THAN 2.0 miles from school and you wish to pay for courtesy busing, please complete the attached Subscription Bus Request Form and mail it, along with a check made out to the Long Hill Board of Education for the required amount, to the Board office at Gillette School.
