•  Julie Hersh, Speech Language Specialist, Gillette School

Brief Bio:  This will be my eleventh year at the Long Hill Township School District.  I have twenty-seven years of experience working as a speech/language specialist.  I also served on the New Jersey Speech and Hearing Association Board from 2004-2005.  I have three children of my own that were in Special Education.  As a result, they have given me the passion to provide what ever it takes to help a student with 'Special Needs'!!!

Contact: Please contact me at the main phone number for Gillette School  (908) 647-2313 (X1012).  I have set aside time at the end of each day to answer messages.  You can e-mail me at: jhersh-at-longhill.org

Expectations: Students are required to do their homework everyday!  It is very important to intensively practice a little each day in order to implement, generalize and retain each objective that is learned in the speech setting.  It is a team effort between the school and the home.

Daily Homework:  Speech Homework is given at least 1x a week in Gillette School.  Students are expected to practice everyday.
