Welcome to SKIP

Educating a student is a collaborative effort between home and school.  I am looking forward to a new school year and to working with your child.  With that in mind, I have compiled this information to serve as a guide for you and to answer questions you may have concerning the program.  Please always feel free to call us if you have any questions or concerns.

School--Home Communication

The Preschool Team uses e-mail for most communication.  Parents may also leave messages on teacher voice mail.  A newsletter with highlights of your child's day will be sent home weekly.

Things Needed for School

BACKPACK - Please send your child to school with a backpack.  It should be one that can be worn  comfortably on the back allowing both hands free, and big enough to hold a folder, creations, and snack.

CHANGE OF CLOTHES - Please send in a full change of clothes (shirt, pants, underwear, socks) in case of accidents or spills.

SNACK - We are very active during the day and we stop for a snack break each day.  Please provide juice and light snack daily.  We prefer pretzels, crackers, fruit, or yogurt rather than high sugar foods.

CLOTHING. Please dress children in comfortable clothing.  We have playtime every day and want the children to be able to move freely and safely. Children should wear sneakers as we play on the playground. We encourage the children to be as independent as possible throughout the day.  Tough buttons ad snaps can make taking off coats and toileting issues difficult. If children wear boots please send shoes for them to wear in school.
