     Brief Bio: This is my fourth year teaching at Gillette School. I completed my student teaching here during the 2011-2012 school year. I received my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education as well as Psychology at the College of Saint Elizabeth. In addition to receiving my Bachelors degree, I also received my Special Education Certification. I am thrilled to be teaching Kindergarten and am looking forward to an amazing school year!

  • Expectations: Students are required to follow our 4 classroom rules

    1.) Listen
    2.) Raise your hand
    3.) Keep your hands and feet to yourself. 
    4.) Respect your classmates and your teacher. 
     
    **Homework folders are to be returned the following day. 
     
    Daily Homework: Students will have homework every night except Friday. Please allow your child to complete homework with little assistance.    

    Specials Schedule:

    Monday- Library 10:30-11:00 Please return any books that were taken out.

    Tuesday- Gym 9:40-10:10 Please wear sneakers

    Wednesday- Gym 10:55-11:40 Please wear sneakers

    Thursday- Music 10:40-11:25

    Friday- Art 10:00-10:40

    You can make notecards and practice sight words at home.

    You can practice letter names and sounds at home. You can also start to build CVC words and practice tapping out words and blending them (say it fast). For example: bat, cat, fat, mat, big, bit, bin, can, fan, man, tan, dig, dog, fog, cut. 
     
    Birthdays: Please contact me to celebrate your child's birthday in school. If your child has a summer birthday you can celebrate their half birthday.
