“Who dares to teach must never cease to learn.”
John Cotton Dana
Welcome to room 22 at Millington School. I am excited to be your child’s teacher this year. We have a very busy year in store for us! Let me introduce myself. I am Martha Newcomb and this will be my nineteenth year at Millington School. I consider myself very fortunate to be among such a professional faculty. I am a graduate of Kean University and hold certificates of training in the Wilson Reading System, Reading Mastery, Stevenson Reading and Learning Strategies (KU model).
This year, I will be teaching grade 2 language arts literacy, and in-class support for grade 3 language arts literacy and math with Ms. Clifford.
I realize that teaching your child is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility. I will do my best to ensure that each student has a motivating and safe learning experience in the classroom. I hope that we will be partners in this process.
I look forward to working with each of you throughout the year!
Sincerely,
MarthaNewcomb
