    About me:

This is my second year teaching and I am thrilled to be continuing my career at Millington School. Last year I taught second grade at Millington as well. I graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with subject concentrations in Math and Science. I student taught for one year in a diverse first grade class.

On a personal note, I am the youngest of three children and have followed in the steps of my older sister, who is also an elementary school teacher. I have wanted to be a teacher all my life! I believe it is crucial for students to develop a love of learning from a young age so they will bring this inquisitive attitude with them forward in life. I am passionate about helping each child reach his/her full potential and look forward to the opportunity to grow and learn with each one of my students.

I also love photography, fitness, dancing, traveling, and eating :)

I believe it is extremely important for parents and teachers to remain in close contact and communicate often for the benefit of the students. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or comments at any time! The best way to reach me is definitely by email. I check my email frequently and will get back to you as quickly as possible. You may also reach me by phone before and after school or by sending a note into school with your child.

    Expectations:

I expect all students to try their best in order to reach their full learning potential. I expect students to be responsible for their actions and their work. Students should complete homework and classwork assignments and be prepared with the materials they need each day. I strive to establish a strong sense of classroom community and encourage students to be kind, respectful, and accepting of others.

I believe that school is a place for each child to grow emotionally, morally, socially, and intellectually. I look forward to an exciting year in which my students will be able to use their personal strengths to contribute to our learning as a group and grow/improve as individuals.
